Introducing me!

My name is Chelsea! I am from the great state of Oregon. I am going to be headed off to college soon and I couldn't be more excited (or nervous)! I am going to study Elementary Education with an emphasis in Math and I desperately want to learn American Sign Language. My favorite color is glitter (if that doesn't count pink is a very close 2nd!) I love singing, crafting, boating, baking, shopping and laughing! However, my favorite activity is sleeping.  Eating is also an activity I love my favorite meal is Chicken Alfredo, my favorite dessert is either red velvet or black and white cake and my absolute favorite candy is 2089 (peanut clusters from Winco). My family calls them 2089 because no matter which Winco you go to they are always the same bin number! Speaking of my family, mine is probably the coolest one around! My parents are awesome and they are the ones who have helped shape who I am today. My brother and sister are pretty cool (even if there is an age gap!). I have no complaints when it come to me and my family....most of the time ;). Now you probably know more about me than you wanted but I am pretty much an open book! I will be here every week to share stories about what is going on in my world! Catch me next week for a dose of vitamin "C"!

Master The Day!

I need to be a little more adventurous. I have my routine and that is good but I could put myself out there a little more because nothing grows in the comfort zone! So yesterday me and some friends went to a Lip Sync battle and somebody was going to pay the performance fee for all of us to do it. This is something that usually I would have just sat back and watched. In the moment I decided that I had nothing to lose! So we went up on stage to perform "What makes you beautiful" by One Direction. It was embarrassing and wasn't the greatest performance of my life but I had so much fun and that will be such a fun memory to look back and laugh about.  I have made a major change in my life in the last few weeks (literally). I changed my major to General Studies but I'm the type of person who doesn't like to waste time or money on something I know I won't use so I keep thinking about what I should try to pursue and this was so not the week to do that. I'...

When life gives you (sour) lemons...

This week started out very difficult. My dad was having health problems, my work days felt longer than ever before and on top of that I locked my keys in my car....and it was only Tuesday! Since then I have been determined to turn it all around. Yesterday morning I got up and I said I am going to have a great day. I really did. This week I really learned what Hannah Montana meant when she said "Life's what you make it, so let's make it rock" The last few days held little victories for myself and others who I surrounded me. I got most of my college stuff figured out, all of my housing plans have been finalized and one of my students finally got off the bus by herself today! The sweet moments in my life have balanced out the sour ones and have put a better taste in my mouth as the week comes to a close. Make sure you always have sugar and water on hand because when life gives you some of it's sour lemons, through time, patience and a little hard work, your lemona...

Happy New Year from the North Pole!

Well I have finally settled into my apartment and I am ready to begin the new year in a new place!! My new year's resolutions for this year are: Worry less. Live more. Be happy. 2016 was filled with new adventures and major changes. I started 2017 by leaving home and starting college. I was so sad to leave but being here now has helped me realize my pure excitement to be here. I have lived in such a small corner of the universe my whole life and it was the hardest thing I have ever looked forward to doing. I really want to take advantage of this amazing opportunity that has been placed before me and give it my all. So far this place has been beautiful but it sure has been cold. Like 4 degrees outside when I woke up this morning cold. Being from the Oregon "wetlands" I am not used to this icy weather but boy I sure love the beauty of it. I hope everyone had the happiest of holidays. No matter where this year takes you, look at it as opportunity to seek adventure, lear...
