Christmas and Changes

This post is going to be more short and sweet because Friday I will be posting a bigger one. This week was Christmas and it was so much fun! I got lots of cute clothes for when I go to Idaho (which I am going to start referring to as The North Pole). I hope everyone is enjoying their time during this holiday season. I have enjoyed it but these last two weeks I have been on a roller coast regarding my emotions. This is my last week in Oregon before I leave for school on Friday. I'm excited, nervous, sad, happy, scared, and ecstatic! It's like waiting to go to Disneyland but knowing that everything you've ever known isn't going to be there for the next 7 months of your life. Everything is going to be new, scary and maybe a bit magical. Overall these next three days are going to be INSANE. To any high school seniors, enjoy the last part of your childhood as much as you can. To any college newbie, please tell me I'm not the only one! Last, but certainly not least, alwa...

4 Quarters

I apologize for waiting until today to post I had family in town and lots of things going on. My best friend in the whole world just got his mission call today. Colorado Springs is getting a very awesome Elder in March. I'm so happy for him but all I could think about was I have 2 weeks left. What am I going to do? I only have that much time to be with him until he leaves for 2 years. Like dollars and most sporting events, I decided that I'm going to break up the time apart into 4 quarters (6 month intervals). I know that a lot can happen from now until March 2019 but I need it to if I have a shot at keeping up with this guy. He means so much to me and I want him to be the very best he can be and really find out what he wants out of life and who he can be. I have set goals for myself so that I can also figure out who I want to be and better recognize my potential so when he gets back the new him can meet the new me. Here are my goals that I hope to accomplish: Become spirit...

Craft Fairs and Forgiveness

Pic credit to my awesome aunt!  Please forgive me for not posting  last week. I was at a craft fair last weekend and I was crazy busy so I didn't have time to post.  So this week I want to talk about forgiveness and the importance of not only forgiving others but yourself as well. A few years ago I went through a very difficult struggle and the hardest part was being able to forgive myself and let it go. Forgiving someone else is a challenge already and I held on to that bitterness that I felt for longer than I needed to. I was recently looking through an old journal of mine and I found something I wrote from that time and it said "I don't even recognize the girl in the mirror anymore". I started thinking about it and I remembered exactly how I was feeling. I felt like I was in a hole all alone. This was the lowest I had ever felt in my life. I finally prayed for Heavenly Father to send me someone who would be able to help me and 10 minutes later my b...
